"I had a herniated disc to my lower lumbar. I was in so much pain, I literally couldn't walk. All the other doctors I would see just kept numbing the problem with medication. He played special teams and backup noseguard for Colonel White High of Dayton, OH and went on to play college ball.

It wasn’t until some misguided officials tried to tell him he couldn’t play because he wasn’t wearing protective gear below the... Read More

Posted On 06/11/2011 04:00:49 by READY
As the 'foot whisperer' I field lots of questions about minimalist shoes and barefoot ambulation.

This one  is illustrative:
'Is "five toes" a competitor to the Skeletoes?  Does one less toe pocket make a big difference?  Also, can you comment on how Keith Oberman injured himself wearing "five toes" slippers.

"Actually, he explains, he fractured it (the second metatarsal) because he was running in "five toes."  The froglike slippers are designe... Read More
