Outpatient providers who bill for computed tomography (CT) scans must now have CT accreditation as of January 1, 2012. Obtaining this accreditation is critical for all providers as California has moved to require accreditation in 2013 for all CT providers. Accreditation can be obtained in a matter weeks with programs developed by medical physicists and radiologists.
